As Steve Jobs stepped down..

Remember the man:

“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle.” – Steve Jobs.

Empty Bench!

Ritzy woods – rapids divine,
Enigmatic, a view so fine!
Heaven is here – heart clench,
Oh, I hate that empty bench!

..tinka!

mera āsamāna ye tera āsamāna

phir kyon hai tu Ojhal??

kya ye Sristi aur hum tinka bhar

sochen Jahahum per āsakta!!

Back to Senses!

Happened to read these lines somewhere today – I think that’s the attitude! What say?

Don’t walk as if u rule the world…..Walk as if you don’t care who does!!!

Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about the ones who don’t…. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

Kavita – Part II

Yes dear all – finally a poem after a long time that too a sequel! I had written “Ae Kavita” – one of my favorite poem on 5th July 2006 when somehow something made one of my friend feel that he means nothing to me. I think it’s the role switch play in fashion now!

Waqt baha jab pani sa,
din sai dhalti shaam, shaam se raat hui.
Kinare lagi kashti mein baithi,
mein kal sai aaj, aaj sai beeta kaal hui.

Chamakti ankheen chanda ne luti,
chandni sai bundeen, bundoon sai baujhaar hui.
Khanak hansi ki jab payal tuti,
mook pukar bani awaaz, awaaz bhi lachar hui.

Aadhaar ne hi cheena jeevan aadhaar,
dagmagai kashti, kashti jal mein baidhal hui.
Tufaan mein chal di chod akela,
apni se parayi, parayi se bilkul anjaan hui.

Ae kavita keh ki thi jise manati,
aaisi ruthi, ruthi kavita se mein lachaar hui.
Kabhi lagta hai – aapni kavita se rahoon mein ruthi,
Kabhi – vo kavita, kavita vo meri zindagi se azaad hui.

..lonely planet!

Hello there! Are you feeling lonely by yourself and that’s why this title attracted you? If yes is being your answer then probably you should have a look here – http://www.photoblog.com/aroma/2009/03/02/

On 3rd Dec 2008, I visited this beautiful place named Havelock Island in Andaman, India. Loneliness couldn’t have been more beautiful! Isn’t it?

Mood: Lonely!!

Music: Tujhse Naraz nahi Zindagi – Masoom (www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_WV6HRq3SM)

…sounds like an opportunity!

“Let me ask you something. If somebody prays for patience, you think God gives them patience; or do they give them an opportunity to be patient? If you pray for courage; God gives courage or an opportunity to be courageous.  If somebody prays for someone to be close, do God zap them with feelings of warmth or gives them an opportunity to love?” (http://www.veoh.com/videos/v682094s8fQ4K5r)

…. and when you need patience, courage as well as warmth in real life, do God really appears or just makes timing perfect for you to watch “Evan Almighty”!! For me – the timings couldn’t have been more perfect.

I have opened doors for opportunity and while walking on thorns – I am wondering what to do? If you can associate with me - Just watch the flowers and enjoy the fragrance….  (http://www.photoblog.com/aroma/2009/03/01/)

The Dying Democracry!

Been out for a while (I know while is definitely an under estimation!)…. as there wasn’t anything strong that stuck my head! And suddenly, I felt that a brick wall just emerged out of no where and moved with such a great speed towards me,  hit my head so strongly that it forced me to ponder on some facts of today, I never though of! To start with one-

I wondered - What is democracy? In seconds the answer taught by our social studies teacher in 7th grade flashed in my mind and loudly I spoke – ‘The government of the people, by the people, for the people’. ‘A political system in which the supreme power lies in the body of citizens who can elect people to represent them.’ And there itself I found the answer to the questions in my minds which were asking me – What is democracy?

A series of events occurred in near past in my near vicinity where I found that cases, where police and law are involved, how threatening they could be. When someone is at fault or is guilty of some wrong doings, the fear of uncertainty is understandable. But what I saw was the truth standing in front of my eyes with shaking legs and pleading hands asking if in today’s world, will he be heard?

Suddenly, I realised how deep it means when we simply say for today that it’s Kalyug! It’s not the time when you should do something good for others! In other words, we were saying – Yes! Its the time when lie would win other truth, when bad deeds will be more recognized than the good ones and Yes, Yes I am totally okie with it!! The proverb my Hindi teacher had taught me flashed before my eye with a minor modification and there I understood the power of a question mark! The proverb was – Saanch ko aanch kya?

… with every second passing by the fear of uncertainty in the truth is growing! .. and with every second of this growing fear the heart of democracy is chocking! I could feel him dying. It will be too early to say if as often people say that this is because of the people themselves, however I have a gut feeling that this time, its not the people but systems which are not working!

More on this… as future unveils! Till then, let me know if you also have any such story.

Law of Harmony!

Placid deep, rapt in thoughts -
divine blue he looked,
as lily sat, folded hands
demurely in his lap.

August it was, now April -
blue turned blue, faint ‘n pale.
Then youthful insouciance,
now – widespread reedy lake.

So long it took me to learn
simple so, law of harmony,
Turned into a duckweed -
wished to be Water lily.

As season will turn, with
drizzle, lily will return.
By then, I wish to learn -
to be at peace with the world.

Loss..

While reading “The Inheritance of Loss” – a novel by Kiran Desai, I came across a beautiful statement -

“Could fulfillment ever be felt as deeply as loss?”

Think about it! Well…most of us I believe will answer - ”No”….. but why is it so? I have
been thinking over this from quite some time and I would share that after sometime…
meanwhile kindly enlighten me with ur thoughts.

What follows this beautiful line is also an interesting read:
“Love must surely reside in the gap between desire and fulfillment, in the lack,
not the contentment. Love was the ache, the anticipation, the retreat, everything around it but the emotion itself”.

Yup! Its really just an emotional world - developed by self! So, are you still in self-illusion?
