On the occasion of "World Music Day", a poem on what I feel is Music, doesn't sound bad!! Read ahead if interested!!

Thrushes’ tweets or cricket cheeps,

                 A thunderbolt or thundery sleets,

Laughter tone of gusty winds, or

                 Resonant voice of summer breeze.

Whitecaps’ whoosh or crashing surfs

                 Rolling wave’s cuts and thrusts

Distant song of deepen trees, or

                 Silken voice of whispering leaves.

In veins of nature, rapidly runs

                 Reveals melodious rhythms hidden

Vibrating through the universe

Music – the official language of heaven!

World of music, unique and sweet

Listen to the music immersed deep

Nature’s music flows through you

                  The music of throbbing heartbeat!

Heed the sounds of music played

Lovely bits will be lovelier days

Let it play, till you’re alive

                       Coz’ nature’s music never dies!

Come; listen to the music which lies within

And feel the music flow through you

Learn the music which lies within, dance

And feel the music flow through you!

Few days back, one of my friend Vikram, posted a sunrise picture on his photoblog shutterbug wondering if someone can distinguish between a sunrise and a sunset picture on some logical basis. You may think that’s easy! Just figure out the place and see the direction in which picture is being taken!! Well, this is something which hit my mind as very first thought but it’s not at all a brilliant answer as knowledge of the place of any sunrise/ sunset picture will not be readily available. Since then, I was wondering about this particular question. After browsing through lots of articles, I was convinced by the following observations:

The major differences between the two situations are:

  1. Atmosphere is cooler during a sunrise as compared to sunset.
  2. Smog, dust and pollution levels low at sunrise as compared to sunset.

Because of the above two reasons, you may observe that:

  1. A sunrise picture is yellowish around sun, yellow turning to red
  2. A sunset picture is orange around sun, Orange turning to brownish orange.
  3. A sunrise picture is more fresh and clear than a sunset picture.

The difference will be quite visible in the sunrise and sunsets near a city, though they may appear similar where the air is cleaner. Also, sunrise and sunset of two different places may look similar as the atmosphere around will be different. Views presented here are from personal observations. Any comments would be appreciated!

As darkness search for lustrous light

Eyes search for a passionate sight

To color day’s shades of grey

Pegs long for a walk of life.

One twenty two steps down the lane

It may be freezing, it may rain

A right after a left just walk ahead

Stands there the heavenly frail.

"Mango" for you, for me any essence

Cup or cone makes no difference

Sometimes you wonder, ever

“ice-cream-o-mania”, make any sense?

Rejuvenating every moment of life

Being always a wherefore to smile

Disappointments of here and now

It’s a tick to resolve puerile fights.

Nor the flavory cream, it’s neither ice

Glow around in your presence divine

It’s an enigma hard to explain

May be your mesmerizing smile.

“Ice-cream-o-mania” whenever whops,

Not often, miss the creamy scoop

Today, tell you the truth

De facto miss something, that’s YOU!

Here’s a blog after a long time. Any reason for not writting will be an excuse, so I escape from this reason without a resonable explaination…but from now on I will try to write regularly.

So, past 2 weeks happened to be “movie weeks” with lots of things happening along with them! Huma was house full (as far as I know for the first time) on both saturday and sunday and we had to watch the movies on monday and tuesday! And then on tuesday, a misunderstandings proved that we are still kids!! Finally it was my turn to be mature and since I am the youngest, i took proper advantage of it and messed up things. Wish I will grow up soon :) but finally we ended up in Huma in good mood. Here are short reviews:

The Da Vinci Code (DVC): Not as good as book, but tell me which movie is? Feels more like a murder mystry than anything else but its difficult to understand if u havn’t read the book. So read the book first and enjoy the movie after that. Worth a watch.

My Rating : 3/5

Fanna: Love story of a terrorist, so nothing new on that front. Script seems to written with least efforts with first half overloaded with shayariyaan. It could have been interesting if i havn’t heard them earlier. From second part I remember only one dialogue and it doesn’t matter to me if Rehan loves someone more or less! Songs are neat. Definetely not a Yash Chopra film. Amir looked old, Kajol looked fat, but who cares if you are Amir-Kajol fan! If u are not, don’t watch!

My Rating: 1.75/5

Mission Impossible III : A Tom Cruise Movie! Though actions and stunts like MI 2 are missing and at some points movie becomes confusing leaving you with few questions in mind, but overall worth watching. You can clarify doubts later with your friends as I did :)

My Rating: 3/5

Phir Hera Pheri : Its actually phir “hera pheri” in its style but a comparison between two is not possible. But i definetely don’t agree with rediff reviews that you better watch Hera Pheri again then watching this. Comedy is not genuine at times and is made up but if you watch movie to lighten your mood, you can definetely go for this one once. The only thing I hated about the movie was the club dance and the opening one which are made unnecessarily obscence. Overall a time-pass movie.

My Rating: 2.25/5

As the countdown ends and the game begins, participating countries have already started showing their respect towards the motto of the game – " The time to make friends". Or is it that the air of "banning" has caught everyone's breadth. After The Da Vinci Code and Fanna, here's another one. Not on the movies though but on game! " Footballer's legs are banned in Iran for female viewing". As reported in Economic Times:

Female Iranian soccer fans can watch their team on TV but not in any stadium in their own country. One argument for the ban was that Iranian women should not be exposed to the boisterous and, at times, vulgar behaviour of male soccer fans.

Oh! How concerned the government is! Doesn't it sound like " Iranian male soccer fans are animals who don't know how to behave in a civilized society and we can not teach them. So, best way to protect you is to keep you away from the arena of fierceness".

President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad suggested that the ban could be relaxed if the women were suitably chaperoned.Six clerics have responded by reverting to the original line of defence that women fans should not be allowed into a stadium where they could watch the naked legs of footballers in action!

Do they have some technology to mask the uncovered portions of footballer's legs while telecasting? So, how it can be ensured that Iranian females don't feel left out of the in-stadium action. Came another brilliant suggestion:

The authorities in Iran have recently come up with a solution of sorts by allowing a women’s team from Germany to play their counterparts in Tehran. Care was, however, taken to ensure that the players in both the visiting and the home team had their heads suitably covered.

How many efforts are these people putting! They are trying to come up with creative suggestion to justify and compensate for a cut on someone's right to ensure their extra degree of freedom. Efforts, strangely in a wrong direction! Wondering how many more centuries will it take for us to understand the meaning of a "society".

The OmenYesterday, happened to be 6th July, '06 – Marked by three 6s!!

Just a day before yesterday I came to know about the significance of the number 666 in the western world, and thinking it to be good idea to watch "The Omen (2006)", remake of original one which came in 1976, we froze the plan to watch the movie at PVR Juhu. The idea of PVR Juhu was not bad at all, its a nice theater and specially the spacious seating arrangement was a good change from the most-often visited Huma.

Movie is a disaster. First of all, I really don't have willingness to understand the concept of anti-Christ. So in whole, the story doesn't make any sense to me. Secondly, even if it is taken as a piece of fiction, the pace is so slow that u can easily talk on phone, sms someone or if feeling sleepy, can easily take a nap! If it has to be taken as a horror movie, there were 2 moments were audience laughed and rest was brutal. Bollywood horror movies are better than this!

All in all, its a waste of money! Wondering why people on IMBD are so obsessed about the movie!
